If your rig has two separate rig control connections (CI-V and USB), do not configure either of them from the copy of fldigi you are using as a CW reader the only active rig control connection should be the one from N1MM+. In looking for a way fldigi might trigger the COM port overflow messages from N1MM+, I can think of two candidates. When fldigi is run from N1MM+ as a CW reader, there should be no rig control, PTT control or CW keying/sending of any kind configured in that instance of fldigi. My question for you is this: In the copy of fldigi that you are using as a CW Reader in N1MM+, do you have any kind of rig control or PTT control configured? You should not. However, the fact that the problem only seems to happen when you start fldigi from N1MM+ as a CW reader suggests that fldigi is involved somehow.
